What does a red tag mean?
It means a gas appliance was found to have an unsafe condition. It must stay off until a licensed gas contractor corrects the problem.
Can I keep using a red-tagged appliance?
No. Leave it off for your safety. If you smell gas, leave the building and call FortisBC's emergency line or 911.
Can you fix it or do I need a new unit?
